What Is A Rug Runner

At ProMoov we have a serious commitment to making sure that all moving jobs get done safely and efficiently, which means that we also provide all of the best moving equipment that might be needed during the process. One of those items that can make a move safer and easier is a rug runner or called "Neoprene Floor Runner".

A rug runner is essentially a floor protector that can be rolled out and used to protect the floor and everything passing over it. The rug runner cuts down on any slippage factors, which means that it becomes easier to our movers to safely move things down stairs and through hallways when they are using a dolly with wheels. The backing of the rug runner has a light sticky element to it so that it will cling where you place it. This is easily lifted up the end of the job when the rug runner is no longer needed, and it can be used up and reused again and again.

Rug runners are also lightweight which means that they’re extremely easy for our movers to move around, and they can also be trimmed and cut up to be shaped to any location no matter how complex the layout of a home or business might be. That means it can be used within an entry way, the kitchen, bathrooms, on a staircase, and even on a front porch patio if it seems fragile for some reason.

The rug runner will effectively protect finished hardwood floors, ceramic tile, linoleum, and carpet surfaces. Any of those surfaces are capable of being scratched, shattered, or snagged during a moving process and we don’t want that to happen. Each rug runner comes with about 45 square feet of footage and is two millimeters thick. It should not be kept on linoleum or vinyl floors for more than three months but generally it’s rolled up and put away after a very brief amount of time anyway.

Using rug runners can be particular important when we’re moving large and heavy items such as pianos, tanning beds, and refrigerators. We take great care to make sure that these items are transported properly using dollies and the like, but it can still be a precarious process and we’d like to make sure that everything in the vicinity is protected as much as possible. We know that you don’t want to damage the floors of the new place that you’re moving into or the ones of the spot as you’re moving out. That can lead to costly repairs and unsightly blemishes in the meantime.

Offering the use of a rug runner is just one of the many ways that we show our commitment to our customers and moving efficiently each and every time. We also offer a ton of free equipment along with each and every move whether we’re moving a residence or a business. We offer free boxes and packing paper for you to pack up your goods, as well as different versions of dollies, straps, blankets, plastic wrap, and rubber bands. All of that stuff ensures that your belongings can be moved safely into the truck and then also stay in place once they get there.

Please reach out if you have any questions whatsoever about the way that we do our moves or whether any of our services might be the right ones for you. We offer a wide variety of services and have tons of satisfied clients to prove that we’re doing things right. We consider ourselves the top professional moving company around and we’d love the opportunity to show you why.
